6 Beauty Tips for Long Eyelashes

Not everyone is blessed with long, thick lashes, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t get them; no, we aren’t talking about falsies. From clever mascara hacks and nourishing ingredients to simple makeup tricks, we have rounded 6 foolproof tips for getting perfect, feathery eyelashes that you have dreamt of all your life.

Use clear primer

To achieve extra-long lashes in a snap, swipe on a primer before you apply mascara.

Heat your eyelash curler
Before using your eyelash curler, heat it with the blowdryer. Getting it hot will make sure your curl lasts longer when you use your eyelash curler. It's like using a heat styling tool on your lashes.

Comb your lashes
You should comb out your lashes before and applying mascara to create a cleaner look and prevent clumping.

Baby powder trick
Dust baby powder over your lashes before applying mascara. This will plump up your lashes. After you apply mascara, they'll appear thicker

Condition your lashes with castor oil
Castor oil has follicle-stimulating and nourishing properties that can help you enjoy lustrous and voluminous lashes. Use a clean brush or a cotton swab to apply castor oil on your lashes before going to bed. You can also add a few drops of vitamin E oil or aloe vera gel to the castor oil before applying. Leave it on overnight and rinse off with lukewarm water in the morning.

Use lemon peels for volume
Lemon peels can add volume to your eyelashes. Mix 1 tbsp of dried lemon peels and soak them in castor oil or olive oil for a couple of days. Apply this mixture to your eyelashes and leave it on overnight. Rinse off in the morning.
