Only Marquez can ride ‘with an arm and a half’ - Puig
Since making his MotoGP return at Portimao (round three) after nine months away, Marc Marquez has steadily improved as the rounds went on, with victory in Germany proving to be the highlight.
But overall, it’s been a pretty impressive comeback considering the Spaniard is still not 100% fit, which could potentially change once the summer break ends.
Former Grand Prix rider and current Repsol Honda Team Manager, Alberto Puig, believes Marquez is the only rider that can achieve the level of performance he has since returning from injury, while describing it as riding 'with an arm and a half’.
"It’s been a more difficult comeback than expected, and what he’s doing in his condition is fantastic. I’m not saying he’s riding with an arm and a half. Clearly he’s not at his best, and only one rider can do what he’s doing, and that’s him.”
