It's December. That time of year that it so special and magical. We normally have our annual meet the donkeys morning on or about the 17th But we will have to cancel this year due to this flipping COVID pandemic, Unless the restrictions are lifted beforehand. We will update Facebook nearer the date.
So what have we been doing this past month. Luckily our shops have been able to remain open , phew!!!!! so we are still selling and accepting donations. Lock down or no lock down our work continues , the last month saw three ponies from the perrera in Murcia and a female donkey from Lorca , all needing a safe place ...... of course they came to AAR , Isabel the donkey , her case was quite complicated and we’ve waited around 1 month for her .... finally we got the all clear to collect her so thankyou to all concerned in her case . ,All are now with settling in well. We will update on our face book page info about the ponies and Isabel .
We are moving very slowly with the sanctuary , unfortunately time and money is the key , we need more lol .
The donkeys have settled in well , so calm , they haven’t told me they don’t like it anyway !! , it really is the most beautiful place and so quite and peaceful, we certainly found a little gem when we stumbled across it . We are still waiting for the permissions to be granted for the construction of the stables, quite a few things have had to be changed !! It’s a learning curve I can tell you that .... but we won’t give up ! Red tape ufffffff there must be miles of it round our applications.
I would like to say a huge thankyou to all of you who support AAR throughout the year , with nearly 90 donkeys , we appreciate it so so much , and so do the donkeys
