Corned Beef and Cabbage in a Slow Cooker

  • Corned Beef Brisket
  • Onion
  • Red Potatoes
  • Baby Carrots
  • Beef Bouillon Cube
  • Beef Broth
  • Garlic
  • Cabbage
  • Dry Mustard
  • Worcestershire Sauce
  • Caraway Seed

Method

  1. Trim fat from the brisket, then slice and prepare veggies.
  2. Place onions, potatoes, and carrots at the bottom of the crock pot, then place the corned beef on top.
  3. Whisk together the bouillon cube, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, beef broth, and dry mustard. Then pour this mixture over the brisket, and sprinkle in the spice packet (if desired).
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook for 8-10 hours on the low setting, OR 4-5 hours on the high setting. Add in the cabbage and caraway seeds during the last hour of cooking.

When ready to serve, discard the liquid, slice the meat, and enjoy!
